With the new season of the lingerie football fast approaching, fans across the United States will have to adjust to the league’s re-branding. The Lingerie Football League was re-branded as the Legends Football League by founder Mitch Mortaza over the summer, but promises to bring the same excitement, beauty, and brawn that it always has.
Lingerie football has been a growing force in the world of sport, increasing its fan base throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia since its inception in 2009. For many fans the sport has been something of a jackpot, with it pitting some of the most beautiful women on the planet against each other in one of the world’s most popular sports. It may not be as good as finding your winning numbers on www.lottery.net, but for sports fans it’s as close as it gets.
Most recently, the Los Angeles Temptation won the United States’ Legends Football League tournament, with BC Angels taking home the honors in Canada. The Los Angeles Temptation currently lead the league with the most titles, having won three championships since 2009.
Fans can watch the Legends Fantasy League on YouTube, as the league airs its games delayed on YouTube every Saturday. Fans can also get a taste of the league in video game format, as Mitch Mortaza unveiled earlier this year that the league teamed up with a Japanese game development company to launch a video game.
The Atlanta Steam and Omaha Heart are the league’s two newest United States franchises, having joined the league in 2013. Australia, meanwhile, is set to welcome four teams to the league for the 2013-14 season, with teams based in Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Perth set to compete.
