2011 LFL All-Fantasy Game Recap
Below is a pretty brief recap of what you missed if you didn’t take some time to check out the 2011 LFL All-Fantasy Game on Saturday night in Toronto. The All-Fantasy game is the LFL’s version of the NFL’s Pro Bowl, with teams of players representing the Eastern and Western conferences. The only difference (outside of the fact that the lineups are stocked with hott chicks) is that the game of All-Stars from the previous season play is played BEFORE the next season starts.
The game was broadcast live on MTV 2, meaning there’s a good chance you’ll be able to see it in replay for the next month or so before the 2011-12 season gets started.
To give away the ending, the East rallied from down 18-6 to take the lead, 24-18, with 1:16 left in the second half on a rushing TD from quarterback Anonka Dixon. Dixon, the former Miami Caliente QB turned signal caller of the Orlando Fantasy, was awarded offensive MVP for her 3 TD passes and game winner on the ground. Liz Gorman, a safety with the Tampa Breeze, was named defensive MVP.
Kam Warner, a running back with the Seattle Mist, scored multiple TDs for the West. Two of her carries turned into scores on the opening drive of the game and the opening drive of the second half.
